This blog posting is dedicated to funny facts and memories. Random, funnies that pop into my head. I've been wanting to write about these for a while, but either haven't thought about it or haven't had time. So, for those few fortunate people who care - here you go.
Fact #1 ~ When I was in Ms. Merrill's 2nd grade class, I ate one of my boogers. This only happened one time, though, because once I tried it I vowed to myself and my journal that I would never go back to that state of utter weakness. I saw a lot of kids around me doing it so I thought I was missing out on something. I sat by a kid named Brian Evans who had a daily snack from his nose at least 10 times. He would never talk to me because he thought I was weird. Go figure.
Fact #2 ~ It is one of my life's ambitions to write a book and have it published.
Fact #3 ~ Living in my old house on Crystal Avenue, when I was about 7 or 8, I would kill worms and then bury them in our pebble garden and give them a funeral with all of my farm animals there. Morbidly, I taught myself how to mourn.
Fact #4 ~ I may be a Social Worker by profession, but I'm a biologist at heart. I love disecting things and finding out how they function and work. When I have kids of my own, I would love to save up enought money to buy a microscope so I can show them different types of cells and how they work (i.e. nucleous, nucleolous, cytoplasm, golgi apparatus, etc).
Fact #5 ~ I was always jealous (and still am) of guys because they can pee standing up. When I was little I tried to go while standing up. Big mistake.
Fact #6 ~ I believed in Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny until I was 12. Pitifull, yet true. Apparently, I was under the impression that my parents always told me the truth. One Easter morning, I remember my mom coming in my room and closing the door and saying that the Easter Bunny was almost at the door, but he didn't like to be seen by children because he was shy. I listened intently for the doorbell until I heard it and my dad said, "Hello Easter Bunny, come in!" Then I heard the Easter Bunny hop around the living room for a few minutes and then the door shute after my dad said, "See you next year!" I found out when I was 12 years old that it was my dad the whole time, a hoppin-and-a-lyin'!!!
Fact #7 ~ I am a Lord of The Rings fanatic. I saw The Fellowship of the Ring 5 times in the theater; The Two Towers 7 times in the theater; and The Return of the King 5 times in the theater.
Fact #8 ~ To this day, my fantasy is to be a mermaid so I could dialy see sights like this...
