My Favorite Pretzel

Our little one is here finally! He is perfect, healthy and the cutest little boy you'll ever see...bar none :) Here are some pictures of him during his first week. He is such a Godsend and we are so blessed to have our little Samuel Scott in our lives.

Sam was born via C-Section because he was in the "frank breech" position so for the first 3-4 days his feet were by his head. So cute!

Rob gave him his first bath and he hated it! He loved the part when Rob rubbed and washed his head though. It was adorable...

Milk coma! I was so blessed to be able to breast feed. My milk came in the 3rd day we were at the hospital I was so surprised. He is such a good eater!

My cousin from Two Sisters Photography took pictures our first day home on Tuesday. He was only 4 days old here in this picture. More to come when I get the negatives :) It was so much fun and he never fussed once. He is such a happy baby and loves being awake and asleep, too.

One of my favorite outfits we have for him. I got it at Carter's for $3.99...such a great deal and it looks so cute on him!

Thanks for all your prayers and good vibes that came our way. We felt them tremendously. Everything went really well and I'm feeling pretty good. I'm still way sore and can't do much for 6 weeks, but I love spending most of my time with Sam.

Nightmares & Catheters

Last night as the boys went to Priesthood meeting, my mom painted my toes black and orange for my favorite month...October. I'm so freakin' stoked for this round of holidays and am sure that it's going to be a great time :)

I woke up this morning and realized..."5 days until the little pretzel is out of me"...then, I looked down at my stretch-marked stomach and realized that my excitement totally trumps my anxiety of surgery. (Especially after I called and found out from a Labor & Delivery nurse at our hospital - who was totally sweet- that they will wait to put my catheter in until after my spinal has kicked in full-bore). Ah, I can relax now! Last night I had a nightmare where I asked to be numb before they put the tube up me and my Nurse Ratchet said "no". I woke up sweating and so nervous about Friday. But, now that I know what will really happen, I am determined that it's going to be a great experience and am actually looking forward to the pain/discomfort of it all because I know that it will have brought me my new little guy.

We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and I'm just crossing my fingers that she won't move up the c-section. There is that possibility - if I'm dilated more than a 4 or something like that. So, hopefully not. I want it to be the 8th because it's my dad's birthday and it would be so fun to have little pretzel come that day since we're so close :)
