Forever & a Day

it is so ridiculous how i never write on this blog...i am the same way with my journal lately...way stinking bad!

friday was sam's 6-month birthday and 6-month doctor's appointment. we celebrated the day by getting vaccinated and then rob and i went to paradise bakery afterward for lunch. pretty morbid i know, but when sam gets old enough i'll take him out for ice cream when he as to get shots. that was something my mom always did for me when i was a kid. until then, rob and i will celebrate by going out :)

sam is sooo tall! he is in the 97% in height, 32% in weight, and 95% for his head size. poor kid...at least he's proportionate. i'd be so sad for him if he was a migit with a big head. he's a cute kid...we still can't get over how cute he is. i know all parents are biased, but i'd like to think i'm pretty safe in saying he's a cutie.

i hav two and a half weeks until i'm officially done with my classes for my degree. all i have left is my 450 hour practicum which will span over summer and fall of this year with me finishing in december. ah the sweet joy that will come with being finished with this leg of my education! then, i just have to figure out how i'll tackle my master's degree :) i'm spreading out my 450 hours for so long so i can be home most of the time still with sam. i'll be gone 15 hours a week, so it shouldn't be too bad. My placement will be at the Adoption Exchange of Utah and i'm excited for my interview there on the 20th this month.

rob's job is going well with the exception of being a little slow and losing out on some jobs - curse those underbidders!!! -but, it is such a blessing for him to have such a great job when good jobs are hard to come by these days.

we are looking for a home...since we are feeling somewhat cramped in our 1-bedroom condo. i'm excited to figure out where we are supposed to be and finally have a home of our own! and have at least one other bedroom!! whooppeee! so far we've looked everywhere...south jordan (which we really like except for how far out there it is), daybreak, sandy, midvale, millcreek, sugarhouse, bountiful...and it goes on. but, i know the home for us is out there somewhere - we just have to have patience :)

here is one of my favorite pictures of sammy i took a few days ago...
