"Our House! Is A Very Very Very Fine House!"

Who sang that song? Was it the Mama's & The Pappa's? Can't remember. Oh, well! We are officially home owners and home fixer-uppers! WOOT WOOT! We took possession on Thursday of this last week an have been working every day from 8:00 am to 7:30 - 8:00 pm {except today, Sunday}. We are feeling pretty exhausted, but what was great about today was that Sammy took a 2 hour nap {which never ever happens} and Rob & I got to sleep...in fact we woke up before Sam did :)

We have had so many wonderful people help us with the fix-up {especially yesterday}. We couldn't do it in the amount of time that we need to without this help...it would be impossible.

Here are a list of things we {and those who have helped} have done so far:

Sanded cabinets {They were a horrible color, and very poorly done - stain on stain}
Lysoled & Bleached bathrooms
Dry-cleaned the carpets...and in about a week we will wet clean
Mudded holes
Sanded mudded holes
Bleached {with 50/50 mix} garage floor {it was saturated in dog pee and pooh and mouse crap}
Bleached basement floor...{it was also saturated in dog pee & pooh and mouse crap}
Fixed a few areas of a leaky roof {now, non-leaky}
Removed light fixtures and vents getting ready to paint
Sanded mantle and banisters....{same gross color of the cabinets}

There is probably more...but, I'm tired and forgetful :)

behind the range because they never cleaned it up...the range had also
had a grease fire.
