Well, I've been terrible at keeping up with this blogger thing. It's not that I don't have time, I just never find myself in the mood to keep up with the times. Lamo, I know. So, I'll try to catch up in like a paragraph or two.
Stretch Marks. Those are always fun...and that's all I'll say about that :) But, yes...Stretch Marks. Last week, for the first time since I was in 4th grade I up-chucked because of the flu. Mind you, I've had other colds, itises, and flue symptoms since then, but never up-chucked. So, I've been counting myself lucky. But, obviously I couldn't have that luck forever. So, last Friday was a horrible not-feeling-good-day, but then Saturday was better. However, Sunday I started having Braxton Hicks like every 5 minutes for 3 hours staight and was affrai that I would have to go to Labor and Delivery. But, after hydrating really well they went down to their usual 2-4 per hour. The following Tuesday (this last Tuesday) we had my 36-week appointment where we found out that I'm already 60% effaced and 1+ cm dilated. Plus, our little guy is in the Frank Breech position - so he's already got a nickname picked out "little pretzel." If he'll turn, it's my desire to go all natural with the birth through a method called HypnoBirthing...sounds hoky, but it is actually amazing so far. Yeah, yeah...roll your eyes, but I'm trying it! Later on Tuesday night Rob and I split a Cafe Rio Salad and Chili con Queso - our favorite thing to get there. I'll put it gently by saying we will not be returning to Cafe Rio anytime soon after Rob pulled an all night exorcist impression and then had to go to the ER to get I.V. fluids. It wasn't food poisoning, just like a 100x more potent flu than I had gotten. Luckily, he's feeling a lot better by today, but still doesn't have all his energy and eating habits back...Poor guy.
So pretty much, the last few weeks have been way stressful with sicknesses and decision making with our little pretzel. I feel confident that everything will be okay no matter how I give birth - whether under the knife if he doesn't turn or the natural way. I'm excited no matter what! Little Pretzel's Mimi (my mom) got the cutest Halloween onsie and pants for him. I'm so excited to see him in them! If he is born in October, he is soo coming home from the hospital in that outfit! Thanks Mimi!
