"Even the darkest night will end
and the sun will rise."
~ Victor Hugo, Les Miserables
Our family has had a upheaval week. Rob's and my Brother in Law passed away last week, leaving his beautiful wife and three children. There was a touching service Wednesday and so many friends, neighbors, and family have stepped in and helped during this emotionally devastating time. I am so grateful for family. We love them all so much.
I am sorry for not posting anything for a while, again.
My mom officially moved in on July 24th which has been very pleasant. It's nice to have someone else coming and going in the house during the day. She has a High School Reunion coming up in October - which means she going to Santa Cruz for a long weekend. I am really grateful because she invited me to go with her on her trip. I am looking forward to taking a day just for myself there and going wherever I want up the coast, around Capitola and Santa Cruz and just having a breath of fresh ocean air. I wish Rob could come, but he has graciously consented to stay home with Sam. I swear he's too good for me.
Rob is planning a date night for us this weekend (hopefully, we will be able to go) and I am excited to have one-on-one time with him. I'm guessing he's going to take us to see Batman because we haven't seen that yet. Although, it might be nice to go to dinner and be able to interact...hmm...maybe I'll talk to him :)
I am in the middle of getting my application all ready to go by September 30th for getting into the University of Utah's Master's of Social Work Program. I am a little nervous, but hopefully I'll be able to get accepted. It's either going to be school next year or trying for another baby...so, we'll see what is meant to be.
I am loving my calling in Young Women's! The girls are all fabulous and so great to work with. Although, I didn't realize that it is considered "hot" for boys to have jedi-braided rat tails and mullets? WHAT?
I am going to do a better job at planning and organizing. I feel so much better when things have a place...and then those things get put into said place. It's refreshing. And, so is my Scentsy Warmer...ah, I love having my house smelling so good!
Rob is still really liking his job and it seems like he is learning so much there, which is awesome. Hopefully he won't be as busy as he was a few months ago.
My dad has been working a few security jobs - one of which is at the Jordan River Temple. I think this is such a great move for him because he loves to be at the Temple and it's a great way to remember his dad. My "Poppy" was in LDS Church security for about 25 + years. I'm excited to see where this job will take my dad.
Ciao~
