Good late morning all! I was reading through the drafts that I have...and came across this puppy. Rob had started it back in August of 2010...long time ago. He never posted it, so I thought I would for him. Just a recap of my pregnancy and what happened during that time. Hope you enjoy!

It was January when I last wrote on our blog, I usually let Jess have all the fun. With so much happening this past year I thought I would give a review of the last 9 months. After such a depressing loss by BYU to Air Force, I want to ponder on a few things that has brought me joy. Less than a month away until this prophetic cake comes true.
January was the start of a new, yet familiar adventure. After five long years of laboring in labs and behind my books and computer screen I finally received my diploma in civil engineering and began working full time. In the beginning of April Jess and I took a trip to our honeymoon hot spot of Santa Cruz California, which Jess wrote about awhile back. The big question that we had at the time was whether we were having daddy's little girl or mommy's new man.

If it was going to be a girl we would have named her Evelynn, Evie for short. If it were to be a boy then Samuel was our name of choice.
Santa Cruz and the towns surrounding is full of happy memories from playing on the Santa Cruz Boardwalk or finding and creating your zen at Wadell Beach. Jess and I are taking a Hypno Birthing class and we are learning how powerful imagery can be when relaxing oneself.
It is weird to finally graduate after going to school for what seemed like an eternity. Finally my life isn't controlled by teachers syllabuses. I am grateful for all of the love and support I received from family and friends over the years, especially during 2009 when I am sure a few people felt as if I deserted them. I am still thankful for those that attended my graduation. It is different to walk 5 months after I officially graduated, but it was fun to listen about how everyone's semester ended and I thought to myself I got the best grades of my life in the spring of 2010...I didn't get any.

I am just grateful Jess wasn't pregnant last year, I sure wasn't ready. That and we would have had to pay a $6500 deductible if we were thanks to Select Med's maternity hikes. Its nice having benefits for the first time in my life, I actually know now what it is like to get paid while playing on the beach.
