Wine Not?

This past weekend I made my first meal by using yummy wine. I am not a drinker of wine myself, but I have always loved the idea of cooking with it. I find all these yummy recipes online but most of them call for wine. So, I took the plunge and went to the liquor store. It's so lame that I have to go to the liquor store and I can't just go to the regular grocery store...it bugs, but I got over it. I made chicken with a white wine garlic cream sauce over noodles...very good! Even Sam loved it :)

Paper bag and everything...

Boneless, skinless, chicken breasts
Garlic powder
Salt
Parsley
Black Pepper
2-3 cups of white wine
2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
Cook for 8-10 hours

Rob was so cute and went out to pick a bouquet of lavender in
our backyard...such a cutie he is :)

The dinner ended up a big success...no pictures because we ate it too fast!

  1. Sounds like it turned out to be a tasty meal. I don't know what the rules on selling wine in Utah is, but you might check out Fred Meyer, Safeway, or Costco. All grocery stores up here sell wine. It is hard liquor that you have to go to the liquor store for. I would have paid big money to see you go in a liquor store. I bet it was super awkward! I know the real reason you had to go to the liquor store.... ;)
