Alas, Rob got me sick with his grossness. He was sick all this last week and because I love him and love to smooch him - I now have the grossness. Oh, well - that's what we call life, eh? When I used to get sick when I was younger, I used to watch the greats such as 'Anne of Green Gables,' 'Anne of Avonly,' 'Pride & Prejudice' (the six hour BBC version), 'Persuasion,' and 'Sense & Sensibility.' All these movies have the rugged responsibility of being called "chick-flicks" - I know. But, when you're a girl, and you're sick - at least for me - nothing is better than curling up on the couch with some herbal tea or ice cream (for the sore throat) and watching endless greats.
Right now, I am watching a movie that I never used to watch when I was younger: 'Jane Eyre' - the BBC Masterpiece Theater version released a few years ago. It's pretty up there with the rest of the greats. The character of Mr. Rodchester is played by a pretty handsome (yet a little weird-looking in a good way) actor. The actors make all of the difference with the timeless characters they are portraying.
I guess this is one good aspect of being sick that I can think of. Watching excellent movies that I usually do not have time for.
Nice Jess, I totally know what you mean about those movies. You really need to add North & South to the collection of Greats. I'm serious, everyone should have that movie in their life.
